Filling in a form for some volunteering thing, and there’s a section called “Equal Opportunities Policy Statement” where you have to fill in your age, sexual orientation, ethnicity etc. Why do they need that? If they’re offering equal opportunities for everyone they shouldn’t need specifics about people, because those specifics shouldn’t have any factor on their decision. 

They don’t tell us but sometimes they have quotas they must reach. Also they gotta know how many of each apply for statistical information for government organisations.
